Post Our Course records
Ive been through all the times from the last 3 years and added course records to our TT page on the website.
Makes interesting reading. Ged, you are still there for the Leavening scramble and Tommo did not beat our hill climb record which is still held my Mark Hitchock (remember him!!!)
Makes interesting reading. Even Im there for the 15m!
I cannot go into too much detail cos I would be there for weeks - all I have put is the fastest time ever recorded. If we want to sit down and work out fastest junior/lady/vet/tandem etc etc - YOU can!
Please bear in mind that these times are over the last 3 years - I need more input if we are to look further back in time please. Perhaps Joan/Ged has any info?

Whats also interesting is that not one rider dominates all the TT. There is a different rider for each record.

Just thought I'd let you know if you want the times from the past your 10m TT V418 course record is Pete Longbottom 20m 12sec on 25/09/1993 see our web-site for the list of records. Wink
Can't see that getting beat for a while. Rolling Eyes

Must try harder on your hill next year - only 10secs but it is a lot really. 1...2....3.....4...........5.............6...............7 etc. if you know what I mean. Laughing Laughing

I'm not sure going back three years is far enough - not for my best years anyway! My best for the hill climb was 1995 or 1996 and there was a fantastic day on the Leavening Scramble (2002?) when it was blowing a gale from the north and we all knocked a minute off our normal times. I think my ego will survive without trawling through skip-loads of paperwork, if you want to see a surprise entry in an archive have a look at: http://www.kca12archive.freeuk.com/Pages/Events/events1995.htm

It might be last century but it's still impressive (to those of us whose best days are behind us)

It was Charles who recorded 1:49 in the 1 mile sprint in 2007. I was in Portugal at the time.

This is an interesting thread. I think we need club records and course records stated separately. It should all be in the club records somewhere and I suspect Joan will have them. All serious clubs should have this information at their fingertips, like Scarborough it would seem. Some research may be needed and a separate page on the web site. Beating a course record or a club record should be cause for celebration all round. We can all judge our performances by those who have done well in the past.

Cheers Chris, all I had in my records was C. Goodway. Embarassed
Going through all the records will take time. If someone want to do it, by all means I will put the info on the website on a seperate page if need be.

I expect if we ask Joan she will have it all written down somewhere. I know she is still keeping records because she asked for our best times last year.
