 Meeting 3rd Nov 09
I received a letter from British Cycling.
We can become affiliated for £63 instead of £85 if we pay for it now.
I will send a cheque off and get the cash from the club at the meeting.

Agreed - does it work having a hilly 10 that week?

I dont see a problem about that. Im going to take a look at the schedule before the meeting. Any input from members would be appreciated.
Personnaly, I would like 2 15mile TT and 2 Leavening Scambles as oppsed to the 1 that we have at the moment.
How do we feel about that then?

Although I have not ridden the scramble in anger, to me it is a good course, so would support two goes at it in a season.
Are you suggesting the 15 again because you are the record holder??? (I'm up for it only if Col tows me round!!)

ah, you know me too well.
Thinking about it, there are never that many people that turn up for the 15 anyway, so, I may retract my statement.

Yep, I'd be up for doing the Leavening Scramble twice. I like that course - more fun than hammering up and down an A road.

Those present:
Matthew Enticknap, Colin Balwin, Keith Buck, Adrian Taylor 'n' Nick Caddy.
It was decided to drop the hill climb (or at least give it a rest). If we want to do one, we can do Scarborough Paragons. I will send an E-mail to confirm.
The decision to replace the TT during the week of the Traction Engine Rally with a Leavening Scamble was agreed.
No other business.
Col drank water, I drank orange (clowdy) Keith and Ade drawnk half a beer, Caddy had a full pint!

Shame you are not doing your Hill Climb, just when Puffin was getting into it. I can see why though with a small turn out, we are making some changes to our list as well because of the same reason for next year.
You do have a club cup up for grabs for best hill climber so maybe you should list the SPCC Hill Climb at Hackness on your events list as 'The Hill Climb' for next year so everyone knows about it way in advance. This would stop the old ''I didn't know about that, I'd ave done it if I knew - moan - moan''. We had 9 riders this year, so with a few from Malton as well as some others from Brid / RCC it would make it a good event. We are going to move it slightly to avoid the YCF 25m TT which it did clash with this year so I'll let you know when it is, could be Sunday Sept 26th 11am.

Okay. Thanks Tommo. I was actualy hoping that would would happen. I have E-mailed "Cayton Racers" regards our change and hope to add it to our list. It could become another "Interclub"?

Just so you all know where it is etc.
North West of Scarborough
880yds Long or 0.5m
219ft start line height
485ft finish line height
Ascent of 266ft - 1in 10 or 10% in new money
Therefore shorter than your climb.
But steeper than your climb.
